Designed for Years 9 through to 13 that are doing:

• Coaching
• Umpiring
• Event Volunteering

The Youth Volunteer Programme runs over two years and aims to develop students with the skills and confidence to demonstrate leadership and volunteerism within a Sporting context in their school environment or the wider community. Students will meet 4 times per year.

Students will:

• Meet 4 times per year
• Work towards their Youth Volunteering and Leadership Award.
• Participate in leadership development sessions through WILSS.
• Link with practical leadership opportunities including in school and after-school sessions, holiday programmes and community events.
• Obtain valuable work experience, enhance their CVs, and increase their own knowledge and skills.
• Meet and connect with other young people who are exercising their leadership skills and making a positive difference in their communities.

Upon completion students will be presented a certificate that will enhance their CV.

Students are assessed on volunteering 20, 45 or 100 hours. Already performed 2023 Volunteer hours can be used for this course.
