The Adastra Foundation

The Adastra Foundation provides scholarships to extraordinary young New Zealanders. Since 2007, the Foundation has supported hundreds of athletes, musicians and performing artists with more than $2m and dozens of customised personal development workshops.

Applications will OPEN for our 2024 scholarship programme on Friday 1st September. Scholarship criteria can be found on our website here.

• Adastra continues its vision to provide support to exceptional young athletes, musicians and performing artists, who might otherwise struggle to achieve their dreams. Priority will be given to applications from talented young people who face financial hardship.
• The Adastra Foundation would also like to continue our relationship with those who value the programme, remain engaged with their personal development and who could go on to being ambassadors for Adastra.

Attached is a poster and social media tile which may be used in newsletters or your media channels. Please feel free to share these with relevant staff, coaches and tutors, or encourage those who meet the scholarship criteria to apply.

Applications can be made via the online form on the website The Adastra Foundation from 1st September. Applications close on 29th September 2023.

Tania Dalton Scholarship

The Tania Dalton Foundation, created in honour of the sporting legend whose presence would fill the room, has been established to make a meaningful impact on the lives of budding young kiwis, guiding them to lead their biggest life – as Tania did.

The scholarships aims to provide support to young women from all kinds of circumstances and at different stages of their development, to unlock their talent and enable them to live their biggest life with sport as their guide.

Included in the criteria is the ability to demonstrate a significant level of financial and/or circumstantial hardship. Hockey has yet to have a young female granted a TDF Scholarship so it would be great to see this change!

Visit the Hockey NZ website for more information.
