Hockey Festivals that will finish the season in style and will allow players to implement their newly learned skills in games.
What is the U14 Festival?
The U14 Festival is a lower Northern Region initiative. It provides an opportunity for players to finish the season in style, allowing them to play and test themselves against teams from Thames Valley, Tauranga and Bay of Plenty.
Teams will be playing 7-a-side (6 + GK) games on half field. Games will be 2×15 minutes and teams will play 3-4 games a day.
When? 11-12 October 2022

Who?
The Festival has opportunities for players of all abilities. Waikato Hockey is intending on sending as many teams as possible. All teams will be put together based on preference of friends. The aim trying to create even ability teams.
The Festival is aimed for players born 2009 and 2010

Accommodation
To reduce the cost of the event and to allow as many players to participate without cost being a restriction we will not be staying over in Tauranga. Teams are advised to travel in and out on the day.

What is the Carnival?
The Carnival is a Northern Region initiative. It provides an opportunity for players to finish the season in style, allowing them to play and test themselves against teams from Northland, North Harbour, Auckland, Counties Manukau, Thames Valley, Tauranga and Bay of Plenty.
When? 1-4 October 2022
Where? North Harbour
Who? The Carnival has opportunities for players of all abilities. Depending on interest Waikato Hockey is intending on sending teams for the following grades.
11-a-side selected competitive teams for U16 players (2006/2007)
11-a-side and 5-aside mixed ability teams for U16 players (2006/2007)
5-a-side U14 teams (Y9 / 2008).
Musters
Teams will be assembled after muster days on:
Saturday 13 August 3-6pm at St. Paul’s (Girls at 3.00pm and Boys at 4.30pm).
Saturday 20 August 4.30-6pm at Gallagher Hockey Centre.
The exact times will be confirmed once registrations close.
Trainings
Mondays, Sunday and/or Thursday from 11 to 29 September. The exact times will be confirmed after the muster days and teams have been confirmed.
