On Friday 8 and Saturday 9 October 2021 Tauranga Hockey Association will host an U14 Hockey Festival that will finish the 2021 season in style and will allow players to implement their newly learned skills in games. Participants of the U14 October Camp will be allocated into festival teams and will be coached by WHA coaches. More details to come.

U14 Hockey Festival 2020

The Friday after the October U14 Camp, WHA will host an age group Hockey Festival that will finish the 2020 season in style and will allow players to implement their newly learned skills in games.

When: Friday 9 October
(if entries exceed expectations there is a possibility of the Festival flowing into Saturday morning)
Where: Gallagher Hockey Center
Cost: $200 per team

On this day, teams will play 7-aside half field games in a festival environment and will finish the day of with a big celebration at night.

Entries close: 2nd October 2020

Number of games will be entry dependent. Teams will play approx 6x 30min games.
Teams are 7-aside: 6 field players and 1 goalie. Max of 10 in a squad.
After the festival WHA will provide a BBQ dinner and Disco to celebrate a great festival. This is included in the team entry fee for 10 team members, 1 coach and 1 umpire per team. Additional guests are welcome at $10pp.

Eligibility Criteria

In order to be eligible for the WHA U14 Festival in 2020 players need to be born in 2006, 2007 or 2008.

Due to the extensive size of the U14 player group, WHA needs to prioritise health and safety, therefore can only facilitate these programs when government regulations around player numbers allow larger group gatherings.
