Team Building

The purpose of team building activities is to motivate your players to work together, to develop their strengths, and to address any weaknesses. So, any team building exercise should encourage collaboration rather than competition. This workshop will address the in’s and out’s of team building activities.

This workshop is out on the turf and then a debrief at the end. Participants are requested to wear active wear.

This workshop is to help hockey coaches improve their coaching ability. The session will be focused on providing your players with dynamic high touch trainings, focusing on individual skill and on skill acquisition without isolation.

No two players are alike, so why treat all of them the same? The personality types workshop addresses differences between several personality types and discusses how to get the most buy in and the best performance out of all of your players.

This workshop is about 90 minutes and includes a theoretical framework, practical examples and coach interaction.

Teaching Games for Understanding

Teaching Games for Understanding (TGfU) is a useful approach for all coaching communities that enhances skill and technique and transfers practice into competitive-like situations. The idea of TGfU is for coaches to develop purposeful games so athletes can enhance performance through intrinsically motivating activities that involve decision-making and tactics. Coaches design practice sessions that are real to the competition itself, so athletes learn in a competition context.

This workshop is about 15 mins theory and then on to the turf to put it into practice. Participants are requested to wear active wear.

Sports nutrition focuses its studies on the type, as well as the quantity of fluids and food taken by an athlete. In addition, it deals with the consumption of nutrients such as vitamins, minerals, supplements and organic substances that include carbohydrates, proteins and fats. This nutrition workshop will discuss the nutritional intake your players need in order to make them improve at the best of their ability.
