What is the U16 Carnival?
The U16 Carnival is a Northern Region initiative. It provides an opportunity for players to finish the season in style, allowing them to play and test themselves against teams from Northland, North Harbour, Auckland, Counties Manukau, Thames Valley, Tauranga and Bay of Plenty.

The Carnival has opportunities for players of all abilities. Depending on interest Waikato Hockey is intending on sending teams for the following grades.
11-a-side selected competitive teams for U16 players (2006/2007)
11-a-side and 5-aside mixed ability teams for U16 players (2006/2007)
5-a-side U14 teams (Y9 / 2008).
Musters
Teams will be assembled after muster days on
Saturday 13 August 3-6pm at St. Paul’s (Girls at 3.00pm and Boys at 4.30pm).
Saturday 20 August 4.30-6pm at Gallagher Hockey Centre.
The exact times will be confirmed once registrations close.
Trainings
Mondays, Sunday and/or Thursday from 11 to 29 September. The exact times will be confirmed after the muster days and teams have been confirmed.
Accommodation
To reduce the cost of the event and to allow as many players to participate without cost being a restriction we will not be staying over in Auckland. Teams are advised to travel in and out on the day.

In order to register for the 2022 WHA U16 Development Program players need to be born in 2006 or 2007.
