Waikato Hockey Association has had a proud history of running hockey in the Waikato for over 110 years and Waikato Hockey has one of the biggest hockey communities in New Zealand.
We now have an opportunity for someone with a passion for hockey to help grow our hockey community, deliver quality hockey programs and provide coach development opportunities in the role of Hockey Development Officer
About the role
This is an exciting and varied role, with the opportunity for the successful candidate to make it their own.
The starting point is helping us implement our development plan, taking into account the needs of all, from grassroots through to those wanting to make their way through to the highest level as players, coaches and umpires.
This role will not only focus on player development, but will also work with coaches to provide extended development to our grassroots coaches as well as our emerging club, school and rep coaches.
In collaboration with the Hockey Development Manager the successful candidate will manage our extended development plan ensuring it is a living document that remains relevant and is well communicated to and understood by all in our hockey community.
