RESIGNATION OF CEO – DECLAN WYNDHAM-SMITH

2 February 2022

PRESS RELEASE

RESIGNATION OF CEO – DECLAN WYNDHAM-SMITH

It is with regret that the Board of the Waikato Hockey Association (Inc.) announces the resignation of its CEO Declan Wyndham-Smith effective 15 March 2022.

Declan has been an integral part of Waikato Hockey for the last 12 years and leaves of his own accord to pursue new commercial opportunities.

The Board expresses its thanks to Declan for his considerable input over his tenure and wishes him all the best for his future endeavours.

Due to the current uncertain financial times caused by the ongoing Covid pandemic, the Board considers that it would be fiscally imprudent to appoint a new CEO at this time and has accordingly decided to put in place an appropriate management structure to organise and run hockey for the upcoming Hockey season year.
