WHA will deliver weekly U16 Development trainings for 7 weeks in Term 1. These trainings are open for players of all abilities and intended for all players aspiring to play representative hockey. Participants will be training in small groups working on individual skill development.
Trainings will have an emphasis on basic skill, advanced techniques, generic principles of play and decision making.
In order to register for the 2026 WHA U16 Development Program players need to be born in 2010 or 2011
TERM 1 PROGRAM 2026
When: Mondays, 4.30 – 6.00pm
Where: Gallagher Hockey Centre
Dates: Monday 16th February – Monday 30 March (7 weeks)

Term 2 2026
2 DAY – Development Camp – July holidays – 16th/17th July
Term 3 2026
27 July – Trials for the National U16 Campaign team.
Players who wish to be involved in a Waikato Festival team will register interest.
