Level 2 Update

Waikato Hockey – Level 2 Update – 13.5.20

Hi All,

We were hoping to open hockey tomorrow Thursday 14th May, but late yesterday we were advised of the ‘Update Guidance from Sport NZ’ which now states that gatherings (now including sport) must be limited to 10 people. With this change we have gone back to the drawing board with our planning and have decided that Gallagher Hockey Centre will not be open until Monday 18th May. This means, that apart from staff, no one is allowed in the venue until Monday.

We will later in the week be providing details on how people are able to book turf time going forward. We believe over the next few days there will be better clarification around the rules. For example, if there are 6 staff working in the building, does that mean only 4 other people are allowed in the venue?

Please be patient, we have all the necessary contact tracing technology, health and safety and hygiene processes in place for an immediate opening on Monday. We will be back in touch prior to opening with updated information as it comes to hand.

Thanks,

Declan
