Covid-19 Update

Our offices are currently closed and our staff are working remotely. Best point of contact is mobile or email.

UPDATE: 25.3.20
With recent changes imposed by government all hockey dates are null and void and will be reassessed at a point in time when the government advises the current crisis is at an end and life can get back to some level of normality. This means that those schools that have not had the opportunity to organise teams will not miss out and will be given an opportunity once schools get back up and running.

This will spur a lot of questions that at this time we are simply unable to answer. We will be in contact when we are able to make decisions about the 2020 Hockey season.

WHA

It is with great regret that we need to advise our whole hockey community that with the continuing efforts of all to help minimize the spread of Covid-19 (Coronavirus) that all hockey throughout New Zealand has been postponed until Saturday 2nd May 2020.  We have detailed below the announcement from Hockey New Zealand;

Hockey New Zealand today announced that all club, school and community hockey will be postponed until Saturday 2 May, effective Thursday 19 March. The postponement includes all hockey matches and training activities, including representative and development programmes; community and school competitions; and pre-season trials and activities. • Schools Meetings (Mini and Intermediate) will be rescheduled/postponed tbc.
  • Premier Club first rounds will be cancelled.

Fee Adjustments/Credits

At this stage the plan throughout the country is to extend the end of the season, to make up for the time lost now.  We will naturally be in contact as the situation becomes clearer over time.

With regard to those playing Summer League or in Academies, we will making decisions over the next few days.  Our most important function currently was to get this message out to Our community.
