Congratulations Lani on your International Umpire Upgrade

Great news in today for Waikato Hockey’s leading female umpire Lani Nichol who has been upgraded to the Advancement Panel for International Umpires after her recent performances on the NZL vs Spain test series, and the Oceania Cup Junior World Cup Qualifiers.

This is the second panel on the International Pathway of four (International, Advancement, Elite, Pro League) and is a strong sign for Lani’s future career and chances of progressing to the very top level.

Lani can be seen every weekend here in Waikato, umpiring the top men’s and women’s hockey in our Premier and Reserve 1 grades, as well us umpire coaching as part of our Umpire Academy.
