Officials’ Advisory Group

Waikato Hockey officials are managed by an Advisory Group to the Association, including members: Richard Baggs, Chris Neal, Ben Pillmore-Evans, Nicole O’Gorman, Aidan Waller, and Bevan Nichol. They have three key priorities:

Priority 1 – Development
Deliver our Academy Development Pathway for umpires and umpire coaches.

Priority 2 – Governance
Facilitate a functional Officiating Governance Structure.

Priority 3 – Celebrate
Promote and celebrate our officiating community’s commitment and achievements.

Waikato Hockey Umpire Academy
The Advisory Group oversees the Waikato Hockey Umpire Academy, which provides a pathway of high-quality training and ongoing support for the Waikato Umpire and Umpire Coach Community. The framework also aligns with, and is endorsed by Hockey New Zealand.
