Waikato Secondary Umpires Badge Qualification

This consists of two parts:-

1. Theory Component

There are four sets of multiple choice tests.

One of these tests will be given when you are examined as well as four long answer questions Š see example of what they will be like.

2. Practical Component

Passing this component will require umpiring at least one Secondary A and one Secondary B game at a satisfactory level.

This component can also be achieved through umpiring well at Under 15 rep tournaments or Secondary School Tournaments.

The award will be made based on the overall standard achieved in the theory and practical components. Once this award has been achieved then the recipient will be considered ready to umpire lower Senior Grades.

Contact Seddon Polglase Ph 8553052 or Email seddonp@ihug when you want to be assessed for either component. Theory and Practical tests will usually be carried out on Wednesday evenings at the Gallagher Hockey Centre.
