Varsity did rather well at the WHA prize giving at the weekend. Scooping about 10 trophies including BOTH Player of the Year awards and BEST CLUB.
Of our 11 teams, we had five in the finals of which 3 won their divisions - not bad.
So I think our tally was:
Club of the year (joint with Fraser tech)
Female Player of the year - Kylie Morgan, Varsity
Male Player of the year - Blair Hopping, Varsity
Fair player of the year - Dean Armstrong, Varsity
Male Team of the year - Eastside University Premier Men
Intercity Champions - Eastside University Premier Men
Championship Champions - Eastside University Premier Men
Reserve Men Champions- Varsity New World
Reserve 2 Champions - Inkfish University
New World and Inkfish took a couple of other trophies too from earlier rounds.
The Varsity table certainly sparked very brightly - all others were rather dull !
