Falcons finished the year in fitting style, undefeated for the year in Senior 8-Aside and winning their semifinal 2-0 over Knighton, and then a huge 4-0 win versus Hillcrest in the final. A great team effort, well done to Ihaka Christie, Katie Rademaker, Kyla Wilson, Dale Daborn, Caitlin Dodunski, Whitney Julian, Amy Whitley and Kim Tanner.
The team and individual skills were another wonderful example of the work Bruce Milne did over so many years coaching hockey at Hamilton West. A cup has been donated, and we (Hamilton West) will submit (with Bruce's approval) that it be called the "Milne Cup", and to go to winning Waikato Mini Hockey Senior 8 A-side team each year, with the Falcons being the first winner in 2002!
