Every team must
be accompanied by a responsible adult.

MUST supply an UMPIRE for a game during the evening
*** Mouthguards
compulsory
Every team must be accompanied by a responsible
adult.
Each School must be prepared to accept
responsibility for ground supervision at least once during the Summer League
season.
Subs include Turf fees - $80.00 per team.

SUMMER HOCKEY RULES
- EVERY TEAM MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT SUPERVISOR
- UNIFORMS COMPULSORY
TEAMS:
6-a-side
with rolling subs at any time.
No
goalies
No
kicking full-backs.
PLAYING STROKES:
The
ball can only be pushed.
Slap
hits and full hits are not allowed.
The
ball must not be pushed with the back of the stick.
All
shots at goal must not be raised.
FREE PUSHES:
All
opponents must be 3 metres away from the ball.
PENALTY CORNERS:
The
player taking the push must have one foot behind the back
line.
One defender only in the goal, the other defenders must be on the other side of the goal from the player pushing out.
The ball must be stopped outside the marked line before it can be pushed in for a shot at goal.
THERE ARE NO LONG
CORNERS – Free hit to defenders from 10m mark.
THERE ARE NO
PENALTY STROKES.
THERE IS NO
OFF-SIDE.
MOUTHGUARDS

1. Liaise with JMB delegate re Summer
league entry forms.
2. Allocate teams to grades.
3. Organise draw and umpires list.
4. Communicate draw to schools/contact
people.

If possible - by Monday 1.00pm.
5. Prepare roster for ground supervision
by schools.
*If
enough schools split the evening -
4.15pm - 7.00pm
7.00pm - 9.30pm
6. Be present at the Turf on Wednesday
nights to run the evening.
*4.15pm
until last children have left the grounds.
7. Adhere to strict game times / games
run on the half hour.
*Jo
& Raewyn will keep time.
8. Prepare scorecards for the evening.
9. Record results.
10. Assist with
umpiring when required.
11. Assist in
ground supervision as and when required,
12. Water turf as
required.
The summer league
convenor ( on behalf of the Junior Management Board ) is responsible for the
smooth running of the summer league. You, or your representative, must be
present for the full duration of the evening.
