The second Blues Awards Dinner took place on Friday 4th October 2003 at the Performing Arts Centre overlooking the University Gardens.

Dean Armstrong won his University Hockey Blue for his outstanding performances, for Club, Midlands, and his International Indoor tournament in Germany. Sandeep Puna, from the Fraser-Teach Club, also won his University Hockey Blue.

"Service to Sport Award" winners were Brad Bellamy and Rod Laurence.

The Waikato University Hockey Club took "University Sports Team of the Year" . They won against other nominees, Rowing and U19 Rugby
