APPEAL - Petherick Called to Olympics

PUBLIC INTERNET APPEAL FOR FUNDS - Can YOU help?

Richard Petherick called to the Olympic Games in Bejing.

As part of the Olympic campaign, the 16 hockey players are housed within the Olympic Village. Richard is in accomodation outside the Village, as 17th man and backup to Hayden Shaw as Number 2 stroke specialist for the New Zealand Mens Hockey Team. If you can help with costs of his campaign, it would be much appreciated.

Many people, clubs, and the WHA have already contributed financially to get him there. If you wish to help with his costs, please use the Internet banking number above. Any funds will be appreciated.

Please indicate on your Banking Website who you are so we can send you an invite to a post-Olympic function after Richard returns.

At 22, Richard is one of the few "home grown" hockey players to make the Olympics. His loyalties are in the Waikato, and he is readily available to help the younger children, school and rep team players and talk to groups about his experiences. His mother, Vicky has supported Waikato hockey as a volunteer in many areas of responsibity, for over 10 years. Richard writes an internet BLOG on the Midlands Website.
