Hi all mini hockey people

Hope you have enjoyed the school holidays - I certainly have.

The next mini hockey meeting will be held on:

Tuesday 22nd July at 7.15 p.m. at Gallagher Hockey Centre

School organisers, coaches and rep parents all welcome.

Also, you may wish to check out the Waikato Hockey website for details about our local lad Richard Petherick, who has been selected as the 17th man for the Blacksticks team for the Olympics. As the rules for the Olympic competition were changed late in the piece to allow 18 players, HockeyNZ had not budgetted for more than 16 players to attend. Fundraising is underway to get Richard who played for the Hillcrest mini hockey teams, and later Hamilton Boys High and in Waikato rep teams, on the plane and off to Beijing.
