Hi mini hockey coaches and organisers

The next mini hockey meeting will be held on Tuesday 14th October 7.15 p.m. at Gallagher Hockey Centre.
This is a chance to share ideas for changes and improvements for next season, before we forget hockey for a few months.

Some ideas I would like to hear from you about are:

1) 8 a side hockey - should we offer all 8 a side teams 40 minute games, and over the first few weeks do grading to find the top teams to play the Milne Cup?

2) To attract Year 5/6 rep teams coaches, would it work better to ask for "expressions of interest" rather than formal applications for a specific team, with referees, given that most parent-coaches want to coach their own child's team?

3) What coach training should be scheduled into next season?

4) What would peoples views be about bringing the administration of the Intermediate school 11 a side competition under the mini umbrella? Pros and cons.

Don't forget, the Waikato Hockey Centennial is coming up on Nov 14-16th.
