next year
WET
WEATHER CANCELLATIONS
Well IÕm hoping
there wonÕt be any more of these!!!!
It is VERY unusual for turf flooding as
bad as we had two weeks ago. Generally hockey is on, and even if there is a
downpour, the turf will drain within 30 minutes. Remember too, in Hamilton it
can be Pouring in Pukete, Foggy in Flagstaff, Drizzling in Dinsdale, and bright
sunshine at the turf.
The office phone
(838-0485) is manned on Saturday mornings so coaches can phone to get the latest of the state
of the turf. Please tell your players to contact their coach, as if every parent
or player phones in, it ties up the phone line and no-one can get through.
Although it has been suggested that Waikato Hockey phone or text the coaches, only 12 out of 84 coaches
have provided weekend contact numbers.
NATIONAL
HOCKEY LEAGUE
Waikato is
hosting the National Hockey League on September 22nd & 23rd.
This involves
the 8 menÕs and 8 womenÕs NHL teams in 16 games. All the current Blacksticks
will be here and Midlands teams are expected to be highly competitive.
