These will follow general business, so for those of you not interested
in this aspect of mini hockey, it should prove to be a short meeting,
mainly to pay the bills & tie up lose ends.
I would like to revisit the idea of putting in a children's playground,
as part of the turf upgrade project. This was supported by Mini Hockey
last year, and if the support is still there, it will be timely to think
about grant applications, sponsorship, etc, in the hope of getting this
done over the summer months.
Also, have YOU sent in your school's player registrations. I know there
are still some outstanding, and the details of player numbers and ages
will be relevant in support of the playground project. I'm convinced from
the info submitted to date that we average more than 8 players per 6 a
side team, and 10 per 8 a side team which is what we do our guesstimates
on.
The chance to win!!!!!
For all your regular 8 a side team umpires, there will be the chance to
win
$30 of Grant Bradburn Sport vouchers.
Entry forms will be available on the website www.waikatohockey.org.nz
<http://www.waikatohockey.org.nz> soon or paper copies at the Gallagher
Hockey Centre & also emailed to those who have attended training sessions.
Looking forward to seeing you, or hearing from you soon,
Sharyn Kerr
