ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

TUESDAY 19TH February at 7 p.m.

               At Gallagher Hockey Centre

 

A representative from each school/club is asked to attend.

All interested coaches and parents welcome.

 

COMMITTEE POSITIONS FOR 2008    

At the AGM nominations will be called for the following positions:

¯    Chairperson

¯    Secretary

¯    Treasurer

¯    Rep Convenor

¯    Draws Convenor

¯    Draws team

I am available to stand again as Chairperson. Our Treasurer is standing down and this is a position that involves just a couple of hours a month.

Draws team- are you interested in doing the weekly draw for one of the grades? Want to choose a time for your childÕs team each week that suits you? Want to receive the results from games each week? Training provided.

 

PRESEASON PLANNING

Immediately following the AGM we will hold a regular meeting to discuss:

¯    Start & finish dates for the season

¯    Preseason beginner modules

¯    Coach training sessions

¯    Holiday programmes

¯    Coaching clinics with Midlands Academy

¯    Whatever else you need to get the season off to a successful start

MEET THE NEW REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

We are pleased to announce that Jack Clayton has been appointed to replace Bruce Rosemergy who retired at the end of last year. Jack will be working with coaches and players at Ògrass rootsÓ level. Come and find out how he can help you and your school.

Are still needed for both Year 5/6 girls teams and the boys development team.

See the Blacksticks take on Argentina who last year knocked them out of a position in the Champions Trophy when they were beaten in the final of the Champions Challenge.

 

See them take revenge on France, the only team to beat them in the 2006 World Cup Qualifying Tournament.

 

See the gutsy Irish team ranked 19th in the world, who have come here with great preparation and passionate fans, determined to qualify for the one available Olympic spot.
