National U18 Boys Premier Tournament

Only one week to go now, so letÕs get these last minute reminders out of the way, and let the Tournament begin!

 

Managers Meeting will be held on Sunday July 6th at 6.30pm in the Waikato Hockey Pavilion.

11.1    Team Managers must attend the Tournament Briefing with the Tournament Administrator and Tournament Director. (Team Coaches and Captains may attend).

11.2    Team Managers must bring a sample and full colour photographs of their team uniform (both primary and alternative colours - top/Goalkeepers shirt, skirt/shorts, socks) to this meeting.

 

Umpires Meeting will be held on Sunday July 6th at 5.30pm in the Waikato Hockey Pavilion.

 

HNZ Coaching Forum will be held Wednesday July 9th at 7pm in the Waikato Hockey Pavilion.

 

Hockey Balls All teams are to supply their own hockey balls. Match balls should be white Kookaburra Elite brand.

 

Canteen A full canteen service will be operating during the tournament and pre ordered lunches will be available. Foods available form the canteen during the week:

  • Hot foods: Chips, Pies, Sausage Rolls, Toasted Sandwiches, American Hot Dogs, Soup
  • Other: Sandwiches, Filled Rolls, Muffins, Slices, Fruit

 

Tournament Rules You should bring your own copy of the Hockey New Zealand Tournament Rules. An abridged copy will be included in the Tournament programme.

You should also be familiar with the Hockey NZ Code of Conduct, and the following Hockey NZ Policies Š

  • Alcohol Free, Drug Free & Smoke Free
  • Anti-Doping Code & Sanctions
  • Head Injury

 

Closing Ceremony will be held immediately following the final game on Saturday July 12th and should commence no later than 3.45pm.

Teams are asked to assemble on the No 1 Turf in front of the pavilion as soon as the final is over.

Tournament Shirts are still available @ $40.

Booking times for Team photos on Monday 7th July will be arranged at the end of the Managers Meeting. There is no obligation to buy once you have had your team photo taken.

 

First Aid

All teams must have their own first aid kits and Managers should attend to minor injuries.

A qualified first aider will be present at all times and will assist if required.

Ice will be available in the dugouts.

 

Team Liaison

Each team has been allocated a liaison person. Their task is to help you with any enquiries throughout the Tournament. They may make contact with you prior to your arrival but their names and contact details will be given to you at the Managers meeting.
