Well the big day has arrived - I can't believe how quickly the time has flown by!!
We had our official team function last night - Chinese dragons and acrobats everywhere!!! From out of blue appeared dave Dobin singing "Loyal" was absolutely amazing - made everyone feel very special. Mahy was named as team leader and flag bearer - appeared to be a very popular choice - think most thought it would be Rob Waddell but very happy with the choice - Rob wasn't at the function - all the rowers were but him - i think he has enough pressure on him already.
The hype around here is amazing - it has been declared a national holiday because of the opening ceremony!!
Actually had to work this morning - we had our Managers briefing - thought they would be more organised and quicker at this level - silly me!! Left the village at 9 and got back at 1!!
We are team number 179 out of 205 so sorry folks towards the end - the first team marches in at 907pm!@!!! and belive me over here that will happen!! we don't leave the village until 7 to avoid as much standing around.
