Waikato's Debbie Balme - NZ Hockey Manager Reports

Hi all

Greetings from a very soggy and coolish Beijing - it has bucketed down all day today - supposed to clear tomorrow. We had training this morning which was awful but everyone coped under somewhat soggy conditions.

Aren't we doing well with the medals - go team NZ!!!! Have had several very emotional welcome back to those with medals - really awesome to be part of it.

The boys played pakistan today for 7th and 8th and won so 4 -2 so a good note to finish on - they are pretty stoked - games all over for them now - think they are partying already!!!!

The big pack up has begun already (and we have 1 game to go!!!) very involved and a lot of paper work believe me!!

We are flying back with air NZ - the plane is entirely NZ olympic people - will be crazy!!

Girls ready to take on South Africa tomorrow - we then watch the Aus/GB game - then having lunch at hard rock cafe (time for some real food!!) and then back to watch the finals - full on day.

Only 5 more real sleeps and a plane ride to go - can't believe it is coming to an end - has been the ultimate in life experiences - many highs and some lows but I wouldn't have missed it for the world.

Look forward to catching up with you all

Love
Deb
